The 2015 CMAs was full of celebratory wins and excitement, but what got the most attention was recently divorced Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s dating confirmation.
Following Shelton and Stefani’s representatives confirming that the couple are indeed dating, Miranda Lambert, Shelton’s ex-wife, was seen walking the red carpet in what sources are calling a “revenge dress.”
Shelton and Lambert confirmed their divorce in July, stating that a divorce was not a future they envisioned, but that they felt the need to move on separately, according to the Associated Press.
Stefani and her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale split over the summer as well. No clear indication as to why they divorced was given, but rumors of Rossdale cheating travelled around.
Sources told US Weekly Shelton and Stefani supported each other through the other’s divorce.
“He’s a pretty rad guy,” Stefani said in an interview with a Texas radio station. “Blake really helped me out.”
The new duo was spotted holding hands walking to the CMA after party in Nashville moments after the statement was released.
Eyewitnesses from backstage at the CMAs says Lambert was happy, but was obviously hurt. CMA co-host Carrie Underwood was seen embracing Lambert for an extended period of time, talking privately between them.
“So many great things happening in my life,” Shelton tweeted following the event. He’s been spotted leaving Stefani’s residence a few times since the announcement. No word has been given on how long the couple have been together.
