Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers celebrated its 250th store opening Dec. 10 in Midwest City.
The first 20 dine-in customers received free Raising Cane’s for a year and the first 250 dine-in
customers received a free Raising Cane’s T-shirt as well as a voucher for a free meal.
Before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, crew members and trainers got a chance to hang out with two
of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Thunder Girls and Rumble the Bison.
Among the special guests were Midwest City Mayor Jay Dee Collins, the Midwest City Chamber of
Commerce and Mid-Del Board Members. The ONE LOVE® restaurant’s General Manager Tyler
Owens presented Mid-Del Sports Director Mike Clark with a check for $1,000 that he and his fellow
crew members raised during a community-involvement activity.
According to Owens, one of Raising Cane’s many traditions is every new store receiving a nickname.
“Outside of having a great community like Midwest City, Del City and Choctaw around us, we have
the luxury of having this big air force base across the street,” Owens said. “So the nickname for this
[store] is ‘All About That Base’.”
Located on South Air Depot Boulevard, the Midwest City location is a huge milestone for the
company and is the last store opening for 2015.
